Dr. Parul D. Makkar
DDS, FICD, FACD
Dr. Parul Dua Makkar has completed her DDS from University of Oklahoma, and a GPR from Staten Island University Hospital. She brings over 15 years of knowledge and experience with her. Prior to moving to New York, she resided and worked in Calgary, Canada. Her aim is to address all her patients concerns that brought them to her and help them leave with a smile. She has 2 little boys that keep her quite entertained. In her spare time she loves to read, collect stamps and travel the world with her family.
Dr. Stephanie Sfiroudis
DDS
Dr. Stephanie Sfiroudis has completed her DDS, certificate in Periodontics, and Master of Science in Oral Biology from SUNY Stony Brook University. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, active in Nassau County Dental Society, and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Stephanie offers LANAP® laser gum treatment as well as traditional periodontal procedures such as gum grafts and osseous surgery. She is skilled in completing dental implants, ridge augmentations, and sinus lifts. When she is not working, she resides in Old Brookville with her three sons.

Front Desk/Office Manager
Ivy comes to PDM Family Dental with over 15 years of experience in dental front-office operations. You will always be welcomed by her warm manner, taking pride in ensuring that every patient receives personal attention and leaves their appointment with a beautiful smile. She patiently explains and reviews treatment plans and will help coordinate insurance issues. In her spare time, Ivy enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Michelle Barra
Registered Dental Hygienist
With a passion for promoting oral health and overall well-being, Michelle has been dedicated to
the field of dental hygiene since earning her Dental Hygiene Degree at SUNY Farmingdale in 2003. In addition, she holds an advanced certification in Local Infiltration Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Analgesia furthering her advanced ability to provide comfortable and effective care. Whether performing routine cleanings, periodontal therapy, or administering anesthesia
for more complex procedures, she ensures each patient experiences minimal discomfort during
their visit.
Your oral health is an essential part of your overall wellness. Michelle’s patient centered
approach focuses on education, prevention and personalized care, empowering individuals to
maintain healthy smiles for life!
Outside of her clinical work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her teenage son and her
sheepadoodle, Harlee.

My name is Deisy Canales, I have been a dental assistant for 5 years, I am passionate about this job, I spend my free time with my three children: a teenager, a pre-teen, and my 3-year-old daughter, and my four-legged son.
